    I’m cool with that.

We’ve already had the Inhumans (the entire series is on D+), and it was an absolute flop. I suspect they’re trying to make all and sundry forget it ever happened.

I don't know much about Moon Knight, but it seems as if they are playing into the character's mental instability. The costume looks great and getting Oscar Isaac to play the role is promising.

I think I literally said this exact post to my wife after seeing it.

Oscar Isaac reminds me quite a bit of Ed Burns in how his dry delivery is so natural, he always seems completely at ease on screen. I think they’re both very underrated as actors.

After seeing Burns in The Brothers McMullen and Saving Private Ryan, I thought he was going to be a huge star. After seeing Isaac in Drive and Ex Machina, I thought he had star potential, and his casting as Poe Dameron I thought was going to launch him. He’s had success, certainly more than Burns, but he’s never really carried a big film or franchise. I’m happy to see him in his own series.

That is an interesting comparison. I hadn't thought of it, but there are some similarities between Burns and Isaac. I have also thought at times that both would be bigger stars. At first, I was surprised they got Isaac for this role, but pleasantly so. If I understand where they are headed with it, it's going to take some acting chops to pull off the role. They can't just slap on a costume and fire off some witty one-liners as he beats up bad guys.

They, the owners of the fictional character, made a mistake in casting a white female actor as a fictional character who was an Asian male? That’s just so stupid. It’s not like Meryl Streep was cast to play Mao in a film bio? At least Mao was real. and no one complained when Denzel Washington played MacBeth? The 3rd or 4th greatest literary character, white, of the greatest author in the Western canon and that’s not objectionable but a comic character’s casting is a whitewash? Some serious fucked up analysis in this world.

The guy in charge, Feige, now says it was a mistake. I can't say that I'm surprised that you don't understand the issue of whitewashing given your posting history.

It’s a fictional comic book character. And it was a stereotypical character

That point would hold up better if you hadn't already whined about a black actor playing Macbeth, demonstrating that you don't understand the issue at all.

To ignore some cultural appropriation but get crazed about another shows it’s not about respecting culture
