Are there any U.S. broadcasters in Australi? While the TV was on yesterday and I was paying minimal attention, I thought I heard someone say they were in a studio here in America.

Looks like majority of ESPN talent is in Bristol, which may explain why they’re not calling all matches overnight on TV the first week, instead leaving some of it to world feed on ESPN+. Looks like some analysts are on site, Brad Gilbert, Jason Goodall and, I imagine if he’s doing double duty, Darren Cahill. Maybe Rennae Stubbs too?

I wish they'd dispense with the charade and host one night in their pajamas.

Doesn’t he have to wait for the ball to cross the net before returning it? Guess not.

Ball hit on his side of the net then went back over to the other side, once that happens you can reach across and hit it, just can't touch the net.

    ESPN finally hit a killing.

    Take the international feed.

Don't send anyone Down Under (announcers, studio, producers, executives, etc.) and turn a massive profit.

No one cares if Fowler and McEnroe are calling it from Bristol or courtside in Melbourne. Or a couple of guys with accents calling matches, as long as there's a picture, we get Hawk-Eye. No one cares if the studio slurp-fest is from Bristol or Melbourne.

Sometimes you can tell if the announcers aren't at the arena, especially with college basketball where you may have more inexperienced announcers. I watch most Capitals games, and it stuns me sometimes to find out that Joe B. and Locker are in the studio and not in the arena. You seriously can't tell a difference, but they're seasoned pros.

Had a fun little betting night with the Aussie last night ... picked FAA to win in four and took Sabalenka ML at plus odds after she lost the first set. Both hit. Cha-ching.
