When they brought Pete on to talk about it on Update, it may have been the dumbest thing I've seen in a while... and I could not stop laughing.

Went down the Twitter rabbit hole and found @snlhostsintro . Good way to kill a few minutes.

This site is great, too. Almost like the Baseball Reference of SNL.

    Damn, that's awesome.

If I could go back to any one season for hosts-who-were-my-faves-in-movies/TV, I couldn't do much better than 1979-80: Steve Martin, Howard Hesseman, Ted Knight, Rodney Dangerfield, Bea Arthur, Burt Reynolds, Bob Newhart, Martin Sheen, Kirk Douglas. And I had no idea Bill Russell hosted.

Was thinking about something the other day, after watching an 8-minute SNL clip regarding TNT’s NBA postgame show and a 6-minute SNL ESPN spoof.

In 2022, in the age of social media and shortened attention spans, doesn’t SNL need to start making its sketches much shorter? I thought the TNT clip was fairly funny, but it should’ve been half as long…

I disagree. If it were twice as funny, it still wouldn’t be worth half the time.

The skits are way too long. And other than the cold open and weekend update, Saturday's show was pretty bad.

Did I just watch Katy Perry singing to six dancing penises, one of whom was holding a sign that said “eat me?”

Solid if not spectacular episode. The Russian disinformation cold open was pretty funny. Got chuckles during WU, especially the Peyton Manning/Emily in Paris. Dude looks like he prepares for a sketch the same as for the AFC title game. Very good for a ball player.

Willem Dafoe seemed a bit underused? Oh, and I didn’t know he was from Appleton, Wis. Never woulda guessed thad in a million years.
