Have we tried putting it in a Yeti?

It’s a chilly rain at the moment in greater Birmingham, but it is snowing to our north (makes sense), southwest (little weird but I kinda get it) and southeast (wat?)

About three inches of snow overnight in extreme NE Georgia. Lost power for about eight hours. It's on now -- yay, Internet! -- and the snow from the backside of the storm has begun. Hopefully we'll avoid much ice, unlike the I-85 corridor northeast of us.

In our corner of Mississippi, there is nary a flake to be found. We got a dusting overnight and it either melted (temperature is in the mid-30s) or got washed away by rain.
Meanwhile, 20 miles away to the north, the county sheriff is warning of almost impassable roads on a major state highway. And about 15 miles to the east my wife's cousin has 8 inches of snow in her yard. A golf pro that I know in Jackson posted two photos of country clubs 10 miles apart — one a soggy mess, the other a winter wonderland.
Weather here is, and always will be, bizarre.

Going to get freaking cold on the backside of this Nor'easter heading up the Atlantic coast. Looking at windchills near 0 in northeast Georgia by the morning, thanks to bitterly cold wind gusts. We're trying to leave for Florida in the motorhome in the AM. I can't put any water or sodas in the driver's compartment for fear they'll freeze.

At least Palmetto should be above 70 by Tuesday. We're there for four weeks (and hoping to sweet-talk the RV park into March, if they have a spot for us).

Good luck to Rhode Island and Massachusetts folks. Looks like a massive snowmaker.

Air temperature was minus-30 in a couple of places in the Rockies this morning.

If the power doesn't go out (a big if) and if one has a garage for the car (I do), a big snow storm here, even an historic one like this, is a major inconvenience rather than a threat. Folks who live right on the coast, that's different. They are in real danger from flooding.
