Very cool, a PL game is on my bucket list (or a Wycombe Wanderers game, my cousin lives there and is a supporter). I am interested in hearing about your travel experience over there upon your return. We have had our UK trip on hold since 2020 but with the Johnson government lifting restrictions I am hoping we can finally do it in August. Oh, and go you Gunners! :)

Funny thing is that an Arsenal supporter reached out to me on Twitter and asked me to buy a ticket for him, which is a big no-no if I want to hold onto my Fan ID. Ha. He needs to purchase in the away supporter stand through Arsenal.

I went in 2019 and had a total blast. They just happen to be playing that match when I'm going to be over there for The Hold Steady weekender, so it's going to be a hell of a trip. Other cool thing. Doesn't matter where you sit -- near the field, way up top -- all tickets are 40 pounds. Could have actually had a seat right on field level but I like being a few rows up just above the goal.

So if a neutral wants to attend an EPL match, which section are their tickets in? Or do the clubs even care?

I doubt there will be much on if we get there in August. We are planning on Glasgow (where my old man came from) and Edinburgh, never know if there's a friendly in town.

There are a few clubs that are on Stubhub. Spurs, IIRC, was one of them. They also have a stadium four times the size of Watford's. The big thing is to prevent the mixing of supporters to avoid fights. There was a big to-do earlier this year when Ben Foster's buddy, who is a huge Liverpool supporter, ended up right in the middle of the Rookery stand cheering for Liverpool. Did not go over well, and Foster had to apologize to the supporters after. I don't think this is exclusive to Watford, either.

I know I had to sign up for a Fan ID to even have the option to purchase, and as an international supporter, I was in home group C, so I assume season-ticket holders and locals were in groups A and B. I think if there are any left over, there are some general public sales in the other two stands, but not the Rookery End.

Hell, I walked into a pub when I was there and they were like, 'this is the West Ham pub, you need to go down the street to the Watford pub.'

My brother is married to a woman from Scotland and they were in Glasgow over the holidays years ago and he was in the streets prior to the Jan. 1 Old Firm matchup between Celtic and Rangers. He was wearing a Celtic scarf and a cop not so gently told him he was in the wrong area and to get the hell out of it. He said the tension in the streets was incredible, this wasn't like guys hollering at each other at a tailgate.

Speaking of the Auld Firm, Celtic is running rampant today.

Went to a Jupiler league game in Oostende several years ago. It was a lot of fun, a 4K stadium right in a neighborhood of bars, etc., about two blocks from the North Sea. My niece lives in Windsor and someday we hope to get over there and see a game, doesn't matter where or in what league.

Great start with the early goal. Now don't let up.

Playing this match in this stadium in this weather is ridiculous. Nevertheless, USA, USA, USA.

Is Honduras even trying? Not going after loose balls. The ball has got to feel like a rock. If you go up 2-0 or 3-0, do you even put in Pulisic?

I’ve seen NY Giants coaching searches more organized than the Honduras defense.
