    List drove the 12th green at the TPC Sawgrass on a day when they moved the tees up to 318 yards -- with a hybrid.

    Two things on that week with List:

    Played a Wednesday practice round with Tiger.

    His first two rounds (missed the cut) were with Nick Price and Corey Pavin. Both were incredibly good to me, especially Pavin, who invited me into Player Dining for my interview. Told the marshall, "Hey, he's with me. We good? OK, thought so."

    My grandma’s heirloom china isn’t as fragile as Jason Day, but it’s good to see him contending again. In part because that means Ellie Day gets airtime.

    Ellie Day is a delight. Did you see how many kids she had in tow yesterday? Good Lord. It’s no wonder Jason’s back is so jacked up.

    "If the tour wanted to end any threat [from Saudi or anywhere else], they could just hand back the media rights to the players."

    He really is an idiot sometimes. I don't understand his end game, either. He's 51 years old with more money than he or his kids could ever spend. If he feels so slighted then OK, take the Saudi money and don't let the door hit you.
