    It’s more than sometimes. When he bitched about his taxes at a time many were losing their jobs, his agent sat him down and it explained how he sounded like an old of touch, rich guy. Conversation took over an hour because Phil couldn’t get it through his head. Oh and this.

    The PIP gravy train was created for Phil and a few other guys (in response to the looming Saudi thing), perhaps in the interest of not looking too greedy he should turn down that money.

    Phil ... if you really feel this way, then either retire or take the appearance money of one of the other tours of the world which is fine with it.

    It's not that he's entirely off base. But, outside of some folks familiar with the Tour machine and some hardcore sorts, it will come across as seriously tone-deaf.

    The course will have to park a marshal within shouting distance of that spot for every public round now, with all the looky-loos wanting to see what Spieth was facing. Yikes.
