If the tour ever put Spieth and Cantlay together, they would be put on the clock on the practice green.

The only shots I like watching during Pebble are the tee balls on 7.

    5, 6, 8-10, 14, 17! 18 are great. Rest of course is so-so.

    Pretty good takedown of Phil.

For as popular as Phil is among the media, fans and tournament organizers, he sure makes some decisions and says some things that make you think “What the fuck are you doing?”

When I went to the AT&T 30 years ago, tickets were $25, they had shuttles between the courses, bars on the course at reasonable prices. Just walking around Pebble was worth $25 to me. Now daily tickets are $70 - still probably worth it. Went down after the final groupings and stood on the 7th green - just taking in all the scenery. Being there in person may not be the best way to follow a golf tournament, but it makes for an interesting hike, you walk a bit, you drink a bit, get some sun. Underrated way to spend a day.

Saw Nicklaus tee off of 18 when I was there - thought to myself "OK, that was cool."

it did feel like there wasn’t the joy for Phil at the PGA that there was for Tiger in 2019. I think there is a group who are put off by the FIGJAM/Eddie Haskell aspect of this guy’s persona.

Did you see the broadcast? Phil's biggest problem coming down 18 was not getting patted, high-fived, torn to pieces by the adoring gallery. Fans adore Phil. Maybe they should have a more measured opinion (if they did, would they be fans?) but he is loved.
