A trucker buddy used to watch Movin On, "we'd laugh our asses off watching Sonny and Will lose money!"

If the easing of mask rules results in another surge in cases - I will not vote for anyone who had a hand in the decision. R or D. We had the same "forecast looks good, we'll be easing back in six weeks" last year, which everyone kind of took as an "its over" kind of thing and all guidelines were eased. I'll probably wait until late April at least to change my personal COVID-19 practices.

So, does that mean he hasn't been? Or, that he has been, and doesn't want to admit it because he's Florida?

I’m going to give it a month with mask wearing. It’ll be two more weeks before flyover country reaches where New York is at in terms of spread and then I want to see how we’re doing two weeks after that. Once my three-year old can get fully vaxxed, I’ll be much more comfortable.

My guy Hotez is wait-and-see for a Spring surge.

The west hasn't done enough to get vaccine into most of the Southern Hemisphere, so mutations continue apace in the Third World. One variant of which will inevitably board a plane and arrive here.

In the meantime, I think masking will fall off a cliff most places where people drive cars. Here in mass transitland, a lot of us will continue to mask on the bus and the subway.

Worth noting here that I haven't had a cold in two years. Some of which is attributable to isolation, but much of which is wearing a real mask - Tokyo-style/Beijingwise - every time out of the house.
