The one on the left, Bridgit, married one of my best friends from HS, then separated and went to live in the mansion.

I have watched the first three episodes, there have been a lot of articles and books that draw the curtain back on life in the Playboy world but this series takes it to another level with stories that i had never heard told by people who had never spoken about them.

I read Holly Madison's book and thought the same thing reading that as I did watching her episode (and she touched on it briefly and one of Hef's sympathizers said the same thing): What was stopping you from walking out the door and getting on with your life anytime you wanted?

In other news, I didn't recognize Sondra Theodore.

Big time, I remember here as one of the Playmates on the Playboy pinball machine, a staple of the mall arcade.

I wonder if we will see and hear from Kimberly Conrad or Carrie Leigh who was the subject of a pissy Hef hit job in the mag after they split. (Yes, as a longtime subscriber, I did read the articles lol.)

I look at Hef and all these people, like Sondra and Miki Garcia, who waited to speak up until he died, and realize that’s how you get somebody like Trump

Very true, the Hef bio Mr. Playboy was really good but I don't recall reading much of this stuff. same for the Hef doc Playboy, Activist, Rebel.

The peeks behind the curtain started after the success of The Girls Next Door and suddenly Hef, notoriously reclusive, was everywhere with his girlfriends and it looked kind of sketchy but this series takes it to a while other level.

Grooming and conditioning are a hell of a thing. I'd also add that the general public's reaction to people who have been involved in the industry is not great either, if someone is trying to move on from it.

In the same vein, is anyone else watching "We Need to Talk About Cosby" on Showtime? It shows what a cultural icon he was on camera and creep off. It's had a number of victims sharing stories that follow the same pattern of being drugged and assaulted.

When the family sold the mansion didn’t they require the new owners to keep Hef’s bedroom door sealed shut?
