My (totally real) Canadian girlfriend opposes this trucker convoy nonsense. She used to work in comms for the NDP. She now teaches at the University of Guelph.

 

I had a nice little power nap during that movie.

 

I understand the whole Canada Nice thing, but this has gone on for too long. They should’ve stepped in a few days earlier.

 

Trucker convoy? Substitute "tanks" for "trucks" and there's a better sense of what's happening. Disrupting border crossings, supply chains, airports. Flynn's fingerprints are all over this, he's still a general, as are Bannon's, and Putin's.

Everyone wake the fuck up.

 

How did the NDP let it get this far?

Many of the key organizers are not truckers but figures in fringe extremist and anti-government groups. Some protesters have flown Confederate flags or flags with swastikas on them, while some Ottawa residents say they’ve been intimidated, subjected to racist vitriol and harassed for wearing masks.

I see we follow the sane guy in Twitter.

 

Will be interesting to see how the law is enforced in some states that rushed to make blocking traffic a crime in the aftermath of George Floyd.

Would also be a shame to see some truckers' sources of income impounded and forfeited. Some of them might have to explain to Schneider or XPO why they're light an 18-wheeler or two.

 

Nearly a million US dead. 2500 a day still dying.

But cases, hospitalizations, and deaths all declining.

I've been assured by treehouse epidemiologists no such thing as 'long covid' even exists.

Since Feb 1, new cases are down 246,000 per day but deaths are barely down 150 per days since then

 

But people are, you know, done with it.

 

Hint, we're not going back to what it was two years ago, see policies enacted since 9-11.
