My in laws lived in a house that had a restrictive covenant against Jews. My wife was raised in that house. The only time anyone ever cared about it was they retold the story of her Bat Mitzvah luncheon in the house or when we sat shiva for her Grandfather. By the time my wife was in HS the neighborhood was firmly Jewish, despite the restrictive covenant. When my father in law retired and they sold the house, the highest offer came from an interracial married gay couple. Money is the answer. My father in law’s parents were a tailor and seamstress. My mother in law’s parents sold men’s suits. None of my wife’s grandparents graduated from HS. None of their grandchildren didn’t have at least a college degree, most had post graduate degrees.

That halftime show really brought out the racists.

I'm not a huge rap fan though I enjoy Eminem, but still. Those were giants of the genre and they put on a great show. Mary J Blige was fabulous. It's so hurtful to see all the comments calling her a whore

    WTF is wrong with people?

Hated Eminem as a kid. Found his voice annoying and couldn’t ever get past it. But I’ll give him credit for coming up in the conditions he rapped about, unlike Cosplayer Kid Rock.

And I have even more now after he told the NFL fuck off and took a knee anyways.

Kid Rock was already a part of The Worst Halftime Show in History.

Had to see if that one was the focus of Lewis Black's routine, but no, that was 2001:

It was the halftime shows Kid Rock participated in that created the outrage and ultimately led to them bringing in Sha-Na-Na and a shirtless, 90-year-old Keith Moon.

Dr. Dre has more talent and acumen in one of his pubes than Kid Rock has in his whole body.

I was 22 in 1998 and I'll never understand how Kid Rock ever became a thing, then sustained as that thing.
