Just saw a clip of the final scene of Infinity War, with Fury and Maria Hill getting snapped/blipped while cars and helicopters crash all around them, and it got me wondering about something
We saw in Hawkeye where Yelena was blipped by Thanos and, when she came back five years later from Hulk's snap, she returned to the exact same place. So the question is, how many people died anyway from the second blip because they were in places that didn't exist five years later?
If you had a plane full of people, for example, you'd just have a couple hundred bodies falling out of the sky because the plane wasn't there five years later, right? Or the drivers who were in their cars and came back in the middle of a busy highway, and get hit by a truck seconds later. Or the people who were on the 10th floor of a building that was torn down in the five years in between.
A lot of people died anyway, right?
I haven't seen much of the Disney+ series or any of the latest movies, so this has been addressed and I missed it?

It hasn't, though one theory I've read is that Banner accounted for this. His command when he snapped was to bring everybody back, putting them safely on the ground and out of harm's way. Of course, that's a bit of BS, but we are talking about snapping half of the living beings in the universe out of existence, then bringing them all back five years later, so it's all a bit silly.

They seem to be addressing this in small doses. They showed the effect in WandaVision, then added the aspect of seeing it from the perspective of someone who disappeared and re-appeared in Hawkeye. There is another theory out there that being snapped and brought back in a safe place will actually save Marc Spector's life in Moon Knight. That was based on one fo the shots in the trailer.

Maybe we will get more insight in She-Hulk, which seems to be the next time we will see Banner.

As much as I have enjoyed all things MCU, there are a few movies I never got to. My wife has been going nuts with it lately. I don't know why, but really into it. She really started with WandaVision and we watched a lot of relevant stuff then, but after the Hawkeye series she's kind of taken off again.

We watched the Eternals last week and I actually thought it was pretty darn good, an interesting character study and like all of it sets up so much more. She started watching the movies chronologically a few weeks ago and I have joined in here or there. I had never seen the first two Thors. You know, not bad at all. Not my favorite and the first was better than the second, but I have spent worse hours out there. Also, having the full story now without those pieces they were much more interesting to fill in the gaps. Maybe they weren't that great when they came out 10 years ago, but now with all this extra information it probably makes it much more interesting.

Now the only one I haven't seen is Iron Man 3 and it is next on the chronological list so I will give it a go.

And, man, the way the MCU has for the most part successfully tied so much over all these movies and shows still amazes me and entertains me more than anything.

Guys, it's fucking magic. I think you're both looking a bit too much into this. Especially since Banner's wish could have just been, "Bring everyone back from five years ago safely."

Iron Man 3 is usually lumped in with Thor: The Dark World as the worst of the MCU movies, though if you liked the latter, there isn't much in the MCU you won't enjoy.

I was familiar with all of the characters in the post-credit scenes in Eternals, but I couldn't tell who was warning Dane Whitman about the sword from off-screen. I had to read about that later to get it.

That works, too. I was just sharing some related fan theories. We don't have any new Marvel content until March 30, when the first episode of Moon Knight premieres on Disney+.

If Banner is going to be in She-Hulk, maybe they'll do a scene or even an entire episode where they show us what really happened when he used the stones. There was a line at the end of Endgame where he said, "I tried to bring (Nat) back. I really did." So it seems there's a lot more that happens when you use the Infinity stones than just making a wish. It'd be interesting to explore what happens in that split-second, how you have to carefully phrase the choices you make on how the stones are used and how the whole thing actually works.

We looked up who was talking, too. Kind of fascinating. I found entire stories on the mid and end credit scenes. It's part of what makes all this set up so fun.

I've enjoyed everything for the most part so much that I am sure I will like Iron Man 3. There is a reason I had yet to see the Thors and Iron Man 3, though, so there is that.

How was her phone charged after five years? Did she call from a land line?
