    I didn't read the Huffington Post very long because of the headlines.

    There have been a bunch of “speaks out” headlines recently.” Such as “Bob Saget’s widow speaks out about his death.”

    Speaks out implies someone has been holding back and finally comments, usually in a controversial situation, not someone gives their first comment, which these days is usually a social media post.

    I read somewhere one time that the reason the Buzzfeed lists are always some random number — 13, 32, 8 — was for SEO purposes. Not sure of the validity of that; my SEO knowledge is not extensive.
