Bengals-Rams: Running Super Bowl LVI thread

Between the not-young Stafford, Kupp and Donald, this may have been the Rams' only chance at a ring.

I would put it more on Whitworth probably retiring, Von Miller not returning and if he was healthy, OBJ wasn't going to be back either and now even if he does, you have no idea how healthy they will be.

And you are going to get the answer to the question, How many years of suckage would you trade for a Super Bowl trophy?

Glad McVay won it too. He's taken a health dose of the business here.

I thought that there was no team better in the NFC than the Rams. The Packers were at the same level. The Bengals probably lose their first playoff game if Carr doesn't needlessly spike the ball on first down.

And the Rams committed an epic choke job against Tampa before the Bucs blew a coverage. They also had to rally from 10 down at home in the fourth quarter against the 49ers.
Both of these teams were a couple of plays away from going out way earlier than the Super Bowl.

The Rams won the Super Bowl.

I was thinking the Rams might have one more year before they enter a period akin to their 1990s malaise. Stafford has one more year on his modest (by startin NFL QB standards) contract before they have to make a hard decision on him. If they lose all those pieces, though, they're going to have a hard time staying at even a wild card level. They can't even think about rebuilding through the draft until about 2025 and no collateral to move up. IIRC, they only have one or two picks in this year's draft and they're both pretty deep into it.
