    There is going to be an entire generation (or several) of Ukrainian kids who are never going to trust the Russians and most likely will hate them. If Putin loses that well is poisoned for decades.

    Ukrainian government source so the usual caveats apply, but given the intelligence community's track record of late it's at least worth watching for. This also tracks with reports I'm seeing of Russian astroturfed efforts to squelch public support for Ukraine -- along the lines of fresh social media accounts saying, "I stood with Ukraine, but after seeing what they did to Africans....". That would fit with the official Kremlin line of Russia only doing this because of how hateful and discriminatory Ukraine is.

    As for former U.S. service members flocking to Ukraine, I'd say it's a no.
    If you do that, you are mercenary scum no different than Blackwater, even if it is for a good cause.

    You're also sentencing yourself to certain execution once the Russians eventually capture the country. This is 2022's version of the Alamo. There's no scenario where Ukraine prevails. But it's going to be a Pyrrhic victory for Putin at best.
