TIL that Austin Cindric’s grandfather was Jim Trueman.

I read this weekend that the Daytona USA impound rule being waived is for this year only due to the scarcity of parts and bodywork.

They’re going to digitally map the car to record exactly what it looked like in victory lane, return it to Penske, and then produce a wrap to put on one of the original test mules for display purposes.

No inner liners in the new Eagles. Not enough room.

TV just can't quit Danica. But I'm guessing she won't be digging around the garage for information before her upcoming stints in the booth.

She's brutal, but all she needs to do is smile and giggle when Bowyer says something stupid. It'll be fine.

And Bowyer's act... at least when DW did it, he had three championships and 84 wins to his name.

I know the whole idea of the new car was to cut costs, but limiting teams to seven chassis per car number is silly. How will NASCAR know if two of the backup cars on the 24 are really for the 5 team?

In other news, NASCAR went from L.A. to Daytona and back to L.A.
That'll really cut down on team expenses.
Also, teams are failing inspection on the new car like crazy.

And they were in Phoenix for testing a week and a half before the Coliseum race. The haulers have gone PHX > CLT > Coliseum > CLT > Daytona > CLT > Fontana.

Next year: Portland, Daytona, Seattle, Homestead.

IIRC, don't teams haul the cars back to their headquarters every week anyway, whether the races are bunched together or not?
They have different cars for different tracks, with different set ups, right? A car that's geared for the Coliseum short track — even if it survives in one piece — is not the same one they'd use at Daytona, Fontana or even Phoenix.
