"and CNN had people sitting at the desk"

And? I have watched a shit-ton of CNN the last 10 days and they are constantly on location, in real time.

Oh my god, you saw some deskers at a very specific moment in time. #CancelCNN

Dude, that's a snapshot. That was all it meant. I'm sorry that you extrapolated it into a massive criticism of CNN. That's what I've been watching all week. But these last two mornings when I've been waking up I haven't found the news I was looking for.

I'm biased of course, but I think the New York Times live Ukraine page is pretty great. I'd consider Al Jazeera and BBC World / BBC World Service, too, for radio and TV, and CNN International as well. PBS is swell, but not 24/7. NHK World is pretty reliable. NPR has been good.

The Kyiv Independent is a good follow, but it's a homer, so beware. Novaya Gazeta is great, but hard to find in English.

Every major news organization in Europe has an online component, usually available in English, too.

And just a reminder: a couple of Danish journalists have already been shot. https://www.thelocal.dk/20220226/two-danish-journalists-suffer-gunshot-wounds-in-ukraine/

Let's hold a good thought for our colleagues.

I think it took Putin to get them over 2% GDP, but they're making the move.

Then don't give him an argument. There's nothing to argue. No one is going to change their mind. The sides have been staked-out for literal years.
