How will Republican fund themselves with the Russian funding cut off?

The soldiers in the field don't really know about it yet. The cops at home certainly will, and you can bet that all of the Russian big money guys are very concerned indeed, depending on how much they were able to find creative homes to shelter their money. You know that the oligarchs don't like it worth a damn.

Same. I don't know if the Bay Area would be a first or second strike target if he goes after the US, but I'm assuming we're high on a target list. I'm just going to have enough time to send a mass text let alone any chance to get out of the fallout range.

I'm wondering if he'd target the US and NATO first or if he'd use one on Ukraine as a "see, I told you I would" kind of a thing. Regardless I'm guessing the moment the the silo doors open, it's the ending of Doctor Strangelove.

Correct me if I'm wrong, however, doesn't the DEFCON levels not go below 5? We're always at some level of readiness because to go below that means we've basically dismantled our armed forces?

Do the sanctions prevent Russians from buying crypto? I imagine the mercenaries were already being paid in Bitcoin.

Thousand Island dressing is now ruined for me forever.

So far as I know DEFCON 5 is as low as it gets as long as we have a retaliatory nuclear capability.

re: Tanks, I was kind of under the impression that their importance was more psychological than tactical. Meaning that they break down often, and while they're useful if you want to bring down a building, they're not all that effect in plenty of warfare scenarios. I'm just some stupid ass on the Internet, but versatility and maneuverability strike me as the keys to winning battles and wars, and tanks aren't great at either.

Crypto is a back door, but it has it's own complications. It's not easy to spend. It's hard to know what crypto exchanges are trustworthy, as many have suddenly disappeared overnight after enough wealth has been deposited. It's available as an end run, but there are some difficulties and limitations.

Probably not, but in part that's a market that's inflated from The Cools being involved in it, although in that case it's Libertarian bros and celebrities taking endorsement paychecks. I have to think there will be a healthy amount of "nope, nope, nope" and selling if the Russians very publicly decide to get into it suddenly.
