I think she's right. This is WWWIII and it just hasn't spread yet.
We no longer have mutual assured destruction if one side under the threat of using those nukes, can do what it's wants no matter how barbaric. This is barbaric. It is. And we are not exactly sitting on our hands, but in ways that count the most we are not defending Ukraine. I know that when the west fires its first shot, it's going to unleash destruction like we've never seen. But there will reach a point that the west fires its first shot in this war.

The Fed should act to ban transactions in crypto involving dollars. All it's good for is crime.

CNN had a former general on air yesterday who said he has spent year observing their military exercises and he agreed with your assessment. He said the Russians, and imposing as they seem, are an extraordinarily sloppy army, with terrible leadership.

By contrast, he said the Ukrainians are among the best trained soldiers in the world and said since they cleaned out former Soviet officers, their leadership has been too-notch.

So here we're getting to the heart of it. Putin's lap dog Lavrov let it fly. They want US nukes off the European continent. Putin wants Europe. Of course, this is war. It just is. He's not going to take his foot off the accelerator regardless of how crappy his armies actually are. He's a megalomaniac who may or may not have lost his mind or be dying. Maybe what he and Trump talk about in Helsinki wasn't Ukraine, maybe it was the US letting Europe go.

This was linked yesterday but I'm certain many missed it/didn't read it. Among the things discussed was the leadership and internal composition of the Russian Army. I found it an interesting and perceptive analysis that gave me a lot of info I was unaware of on the subject.

Stalin gladly let 4o million or more of his people die to achieve whatever his goals may have been.

Russia has lost, what, a few hundred so far against Ukraine? We're still in the layup line of this one.

It’s war and war is barbaric. It could be worse even without nukes. There’s been no reported high altitude bombings. Fighters aren’t strafing highways and buildings. It also doesn’t look like Russia could stop China from Rolling up its south eastern border. They are disorganized.
They should pull back, and then unleash an air and missile barrage. Then send in troops. A do over.
