Former national security adviser John Bolton rejected a claim from a Newsmax host who asserted that the behavior of President Donald Trump deterred the Russians from invading Ukraine. Bolton emphasized that Trump “barely knew where Ukraine was.”

It took trump and co to make Bolton seems rational.

He’s making the you can’t blame the refs argument. Yeah Russia is not running this invasion well, but they have a hard job and should never be questioned.

I mean God forbid media savvy folks who are current or former journalists talk about current events. Where do we get off?

This is disappointing. It’s an easy lay up for any country that no one would really notice if Mexico says shame on you Russia.

I still haven't seen or heard any very good explanation for the question that a couple of posters here have asked previously: Why hasn't there been more aggressive action taken, particularly via air space, against that 40-mile lineup of slow-moving tanks heading toward the Ukraine capitol?

I get it. Everyone's just guessing anyways, even the "experts."

I'd quibble over broad brushing "complete lack of expertise." There's a pretty broad swath of people here, and many of the folks who have some level of expertise simultaneously might be hesitant to say, "And I believe this because I've studied x, y, and z in capacity a, b, and c.

Limited resources. At least until the brewery gets done bottling all those Molotov cocktails.

    No argument.

But it’s also funny to imagine somebody thinking they’re a budding Omar Bradley behind a keyboard. So, jokes.

And I had a great-uncle who graduated high in his class at West Point. A complete idiot loon. So I get that expertise ain’t all that.

Hell, half of Congress thinks Omar Bradley is a member of the Squad.

I know that final "stats for journalists" course really put me over the top in terms of my ability function as an adult!*

*I know for many jobs, it's the experience you have and connections you've made, but getting my degree done was a huge deal for me. I mean I eventually needed that piece of paper, obviously, but even then I needed to see it through even if it was three years late. And every cent I paid was out of my own pocket for that class to get my diploma. But dammit, I got it done. I don't remember much from that class except to be skeptical of samples. Still ...
