Was thinking about this while driving and listening to music - what would be the song I'd like to have played at the end of my funeral/memorial service. I know I'd want something that wouldn't be found in a church song book, something not too sad, but a good note to "leave" on. Settled on this one. One of my favorite bands.

I've actually already told my kids: The second part of this, God As My Witness. Starts at about 4:08 on this video. Bonus points for them if they manage to get Dave Grohl to come and sing it

I’ve told my wife if anything were to happen to play Frank Turner’s “Journey of the Magi.”

    The piano coda from "Layla".

Or "Killed by Death" by Motorhead.

I want them to wheel my coffin in to this:

Then I want four national anthems played:

Nikolai Volkov's singing of the Soviet National Anthem (My mourners can chant, "USA, USA")
The Israeli National Anthem (because I'm Jewish)
The Canadian National Anthem (While I'm not Canadian, I just think it's an awesome anthem, and I did live near the border for a little while, so maybe that counts?)
    The American National Anthem

And I want them to wheel my coffin out to this:

My mom's choice is "Dust in the Wind" by Kansas.

That would be a good one.

"Breathe me" by Sia comes to mind, only because that was the song playing over the ending of Six Feet Under.

"The Reservoir" by The Gathering Field is obscure, but it would have meaning for my wife and a few other family members. It is a song about faith, but not too preachy.

A cliché, but I Shall Be Released by The Band.
