Was it Rumsfeld or Cheney who caught so much hell about the "You go to war with the army you have, not the army you want" comment? It sounded stupid considering we were more or less choosing to go to war instead of being forced into it, but there's a lot of truth to it — you're always going to have somebody wanting more ammo, or more troops, or better this or better that, and you can never make everybody happy.
Same applies to Russia here, except it helps to ensure you have at least most of your ducks in a row before invading another country and turning your own into an international villain.

Forty keeps getting published, so I used it, assuming spread out. The three wide pictures that I've seen - even four miles of that getting torn up, that's a lot of expensive stuff getting blown up, plus whatever lives and the fuel that the Russians are short on. I had heard that it was likely that a combination of vehicles out of fuel and knocked out at both ends of the column was what was likely keeping them stuck in place. I wouldn't want to be in that convoy.

Ukraine is the good guys in this war, but it doesn't mean they've always been good guys, if that makes sense. They've had a lot of corruption and questionable leadership there in recent years, so it's debatable how close they are to complying with the first three points. From what I can tell, they're also using mostly Russian military equipment so I'm not certain they're anywhere close to complying with No. 5, either.
And its not being a NATO member is far from the only reason no one is sending troops. The very real threat of civilization ending an hour after the first NATO troops cross the border is the biggest reason.

RT has shut down all American operations, per CNN. Must explain why BTE hasn't been posting.

It has to be difficult to come in here and try to justify this.

It makes sense. But who has ever always been the good guys? Even we haven't. And, clearly, now, Ukraine is, and certainly, it has been attempting to grow as a democracy. They're using mostly Russian military equipment because...they used to be Russian/Soviet. That can't be helped.

I realize there's real danger in the U.S. getting directly involved, but we don't actually know that the worst would happen. Hopefully, Putin still has some marbles working, despite his despot-tedness, and he does need to be stopped, one way or another.

That's why, in my opinion, the best, most just, and most justifiable thing would be to target Putin himself. That's actually where I, personally, think our efforts should be focused, and a concerted effort should be made to capture or kill him.

Barring that, and, short of a no-fly zone being instituted, also as Zelensky requested, planes should be sent for the Ukrainians themselves to use for mounting both attacks, and a defense, of their own.

Jet fighter planes are kind of complicated machines and we can't drop ours off like they were at the Hertz lot for Ukrainian pilots to fly. They'd need training or they wouldn't be able to use them effectively if at all.

I seem to remember this. I watched her for a bit back then. Intense'est personality in the media then.
