When I worked in Jacksonville, the centerpiece of the sports editor’s office (occupied at the time by Craig Stanke) was an aerial shot of the 17th the size of a big screen before they had big screens

My late parents lived about two miles from TPC Sawgrass. Nothing my father liked better than watching pros dunk 'em on 17. Too bad he wasn't there yesterday, he'd have been ecstatic.

Addong to the story of that photo, the photo department almost lost all credentials for that shot from a helicopter.

He had a time, all right. Funny how he did it in a plain black hat. But he wasn't a black hat to Rory, Scheffler and the other few guys that made the cut thanks to his trainwreck.

Wild tourney finish today; a kerfluffle between players about Daniel Berger's drop was documented:

Pretty fascinating how Dahmen and Hovland stand their ground. Those are two of my favorite players and I root for Berger too because I watched his dad play tennis on the weekends back in the 80's.

That's great TV, good on PGA Tour Live for getting all of it (and the announcers staying quiet). Those are tough situations and I wouldn't question any of those players' integrity. It's a judgment call all the way with no perfect way to solve it.

Similar to when your team punts a ball that sails out of bounds and you're watching the official run up the sideline to spot it ... "nooo, it can't be that far up!"

When both of your playing partners are questioning it ....

Not saying Berger was wrong, but both guys were questioning it.
