How much did you pay for gas today?

Anyone else notice everybody on the roads driving at the actual speed limit? It’s the safest I’ve felt on the road my entire life.

I drive 50 miles a day for work and I’ve been able to stretch my Civic’s gas tank another entire day each week by babying the gas and coasting into stop signs and lights. I’m probably infuriating drivers behind me, but at $4 a gallon, I don’t care.

I’ve made it a game and it’s become fun to see how much money I can save.

This is only something you can do when you live in the sticks. If I tried this in a city there would be problems.

Yesterday, Costco was 50-60 cents less than the regular gas stations -- $4.49.9 a gallon. Everywhere else is more than $5 a gallon.

    Still $3,99 here, but that's 85 octane.

I must be living in the past, having screwed up this post. Add a buck to all the numbers above. Costco regular was $5.49.9 a gallon. Everywhere else is more than $6 a gallon.

It's dropped 10-20 cents since last Friday. Good work Brandon

I've definitely cut down on my driving. I last got gas March 6 (it was $3.69 at the pump then) and have driven about 120 miles since. Gas plateaued at $3.99 here and is coming down slowly, but closer to the city it got up to $4.29 in places.

That's certainly a part of it, but also a restoration of some sanity in the futures market. To the story's point, Iran will likely soon be back on the market. But China will never boycott Russian oil. Full stop.

There's a Circle K down here in Florida that's been my bellwether since we've been down here. It seems to be the trendsetter in Manatee County, so if I'm getting close to needing to top the tank, I'm focused on prices there to give me an benchmark. When we got here, gas was $3.19. It's been as high as $4.49 and just paid $4.09 tonight. (Saw it as low as $3.99 at a Wawa in St. Pete.)

I'm in Tucson for the week and I think I saw one spot with it at $4.279. The average seems to be about $4.45.
