No question. I’m watching Top Chef season whatever right now - filmed last spring perhaps - and one of the chefs still doesn’t have their sense of taste. He is not making good food.

My mother-in-law hasn’t gotten her sense of taste back since she got Covid in April 2020. She loved baking so much and her stuff turns out so badly now. She made something with so much amaretto flavor in it I had to spit it out.

South Korea reports 621,328 new coronavirus cases, by far the biggest one-day increase so far, and a record 429 new deaths.

My wife and I are in the Outer Banks of North Carolina for a week and masks are definitely not a thing down here. Very few people in stores are wearing them, except for the employees. We were in Manteo yesterday and a sign at a local movie theater says "No Masks Required" ... also. we were at a visitors center for a short movie and we were the only two in the little theatre wearing masks.

Vast majority of subway and bus riders: still masked

Lesser majority of pedestrians: still masked

Simple majority of restaurant goers: still masked

We've rented an OBX house three times during the pandemic. Masks have never really been a thing down there except for visiting northerners.

I've only watched the first ep and he came off as an asshole I thought when he asked if he was a dick for not disclosing he'd had Covid.

I've stayed in the Rodanthe area seven times since Covid started. My experience has been different. I saw a good amount of masking during year one and the first half of year two. Much less last November and December.

We were in Nags Head for two weeks last spring. Even then people didn’t want to wear masks.
