I read that it was Young's active support of Deb Haaland for Interior Secretary (he introduced her at the Senate confirmation hearings) that swayed Manchin. Also should be noted that Young's first wife was indigenous Alaskan, he was pro-labor and voted with Dems 30 percent of the time since Biden won (he was also one of the first Republicans to reach out and congratulate Biden). Also known as the King of Pork and once held a knife to John Boehner's neck when he was banning earmarks. (that was not a metaphor - he actually did it).

That story says Boehner isn't the first time he pulled a knife on the House floor. I'm reasonably sure if most of us pulled a knife on people at work, we wouldn't have jobs there anymore.

 

I heard a story that when congress was going to ban bear traps, Young put his arm in a bear trap to show it doesn’t hurt that much. Tough hombre.

Liberals have no spine and instead spend all their grievance capital on protecting swimmer chicks who used to have dicks, NYT opinion writers and the latest free-speech utterances from Ilhan Omar, while directing their outrage capital towards Tucker Carlson, clowncar truckers and Howard Shultz returning to lead Starbucks.
