    You keep posting about ends, and treating them like they are means.

    You know you can nominate a black woman for a post on the Supreme Court without saying, "This seat is going to go only to a black woman"? If the end is that you want movement toward color-blindness and gender neutrality, you move farther from that end when you make it primarily ABOUT race and gender. Just nominate a black woman when a seat opens up. And make it about her merits as a potential justice.

    What I don't get from the GQPers is, do they really think the rest of the country is just going to sit back and be like, "Eh, Biden had 81 million votes, and I guess there's some sort of fraud that they're saying happened and there's no proof, but I'll just take their word for it and we'll keep Trump as president."

    It was politics, pure and simple. Biden promised to nominate a Black woman before the South Carolina primary. That promise got him Black and liberal votes. He did well enough in that election that the momentum he gathered carried him through to becoming President. He then kept the vow that he had made.

    It really isn't any different from a Republican pledging to cut taxes in a bid to get enough votes to win.

    And there was nothing wrong with that promise. It was time (and past time) for it to happen, for a number of reasons.
