Having said this, I'll add it's not impossible they cooked the whole thing up as a prank.

My wife and I are both in agreement that the moment either of us found out the other cheated would be the exact moment our marriage ended.

I do think this seems so quaint and inconsequential, like a throwback story from the 1990s or very early 2000s, in the middle of an apocalyptic-feeling era and people are actually nostalgic for that. So we’ll see the awful takes keep rolling.

It's today's shiny object. And nobody needs to feel guilty because it's the shiny object they're looking at. It might be preferable to worrying about when Putin is going to press the button.

The thing that gets me is what a selfish act it was
Not only did it take the luster off Smith’s own achievement it also stole the thunder of so many deserving winners such as Coda, Ariana DuBose, Jessica Chastain, QuestLove and others
Selfishness is something I’ve seen a lot in these school board and Covid demonstrations, not to mention Jan. 6
The Hollywood crowd is just as guilty
Like Amy Schumer asking for Zelenskyy to be at their little party
When you see what Ukrainians are going through this stuff seems pretty small

Oh, I’m not judging. I have books and sports for that purpose. I just think this has a feel to it of another era.

Anything that even remotely bismirches Richard Williams' legacy is well woth it. I'm sure Serena and Venus laughed it all off, good sports that they are...

The one thing that fascinates me about it is that public opinion is pretty split, and not in predictable ways. I’ve seen conservatives, women, African Americans, and a bunch of other subgroups come down on both sides of this. There doesn’t seem to be an “approved” opinion out yet, although I suppose Fox News may yet engineer one and then others will naturally line up on the opposing pole just because.

I don't recall seeing this mentioned here in the run-up to the show ...

Sean Penn calls for Oscars boycott
if Ukraine’s Zelensky isn’t given chance to speak

Sean Penn is calling on Hollywood to boycott the Academy Awards if Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is denied a chance to speak at the red-carpet event. ...

Penn, 61, has won two Oscars and vowed to “smelt mine in public” if Zelensky is snubbed by the Academy.
