    I've listened to enough Kimmel/Carolla/Simmons podcasts over the years to know that each Oscars joke is crafted, formed, reviewed, spitballed.
    That Jada joke probably didn't come out of left field (although Smith's slap did);

    I remember watching that with my parents. My dad was going through a teeny-dick Republican phase. I cheered Ms Littlefeather and he turned to me and said the line I would hear many times from him and his stepfather: "Yuh. Keep doing that. You're going to grow up to cry over the Indians."

    Me at the time. Uhkay!

    Me later on: Thanks for the anthropology degree, DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!*

    *In all seriousness, he was one of my biggest cheerleaders. This was something we would laugh at years later.

    It would have been wrong to let this go by with just a simple "like."

    While I understand the objection to the inherent sexism of 'chivalry,' I'm not sure she could have walked onto the stage in this dress in any case.

    How did she even get to her seat? Or sit in it?

    Anyone else kinda of disappointed the beef has been squashed so quickly? There are at least a thousand bad takes out there still on the vine.

    It has been reported that he did not tell the joke in rehearsals.

    It's funny how many Zapruder film references I've heard since the slap - and I'm sure everyone 40 and under is thinking "what does the MacGruber film have to do with this?

    Bill Simmons alone has kept Zapruder’s name alive among the under-40 podcast listeners. That guy loves him some Zapruder references.
