T-Mobile and Sprint customers (one and the same now) get free MLB TV again. Download the T-Mobile Tuesdays app and follow the directions. You have a week to sign up. I had it last year and it was tremendous!

I like this for many reasons. An outfield of Meadows, Baddoo/Greene and Grossman is light-years better than Christin Stewart, JaCoby Jones and Travis Demerrite (and yeah, that was just three years ago).

Parades was too big and not enough range for short and falling farther out of the picture behind Candelario at third. Kreidler is pressing hard for the utility role. It also limits the number of at-bats for AAAA guys like Reyes, Hill, Cameron and the Castros, and perhaps allows Greene to platoon with Baddoo. And yeah, there's a "between the lines" feeling that Miggy's going to be a cheerleader more this year once he reaches 3,000 hits, if Torkelson and Greene play to their potential.

This offseason the Tigers signed Javier Baez, Eduardo Rodriguez, Andrew Chafin and Michael Pineda
They acquired Austin Meadows and Tucker Barnhart for Isaac Paredes and Nick Quintana
We don’t know how the Tigers will do but Al Avila and Chris Ilitch always said they would spend when they got in a position to contend and they have backed it up

Brewers C Pedro Severino, 80 games.

Hit .248 last year. Was hitting .438 in spring training. Blames his doctor (clomiphene is used to stimulate ovulation, not sure why you’d prescribe that to a male patient).

Fourth positive test, first by a signed player.

Brewers' Severino suspended for fertility drug

Couple buddies and I pooled some money and made 10 season win total bets, just to have something to keep an eye on. Here's what we've got:

    - Boston over 85.5
    - St. Louis over 84.5
    - Arizona over 67.5
    - Oakland over 68.5
    - Atlanta over 91.5
    - Minnesota under 81.5
    - San Diego under 89.5
    - Baltimore under 62.5
    - Mets under 88.5
    - Nats under 71.5

Can't believe those young championship Cubs have all flittered away.

Your under bets are safer than your overs, although none of those are too far out there, except maybe Oakland.

The Nats bet is an emotional hedge.

I think they’ll be dreadful this year, and I’ll be OK having paid to be proven wrong.

    Why it's called "exhibition" baseball:

The Orioles and Tigers have canceled tomorrow's finale in Lakeland because they don't want to waste the pitchers.

(And the Dodgers had the worst record in the Cactus League. I'm certain management is extremely concerned.)
