I just read where Russia has lost 18,500 troops already. Even if that is totally fabricated, half that many is still a lot.

 

The F-35 is showing signs of maturation and will be regarded as a capable, useful platform. That'll never be the case for LCS.

 

That's good. Last I heard the engines were kablooey, but it's been years since I dealt with military stuff. I thought there was some talk of handing off the LCS fleet to the Coast Guard, I don't know how serious that was.

The trimarine class appears to be the one that's being spared. The irony of this is that our inland port is supposed to have a commissioning of a Freedom-class LCS this summer and they're already scrapping them. I know it's been high on the list of great modern DoD boondoggles. USS Minneapolis St-Paul was laid like four years ago but they had to rip out the naval equivalent of its transmission due to a design flaw.

 

U.S. casualties in Vietnam was 58,000 over a 10 year period. Russia will get there in about six months.
