But does Putin get a conditional third-round draft pick as well?

I think the Russians lost 25 million in WWII.

Honestly, this probably isn’t shit to them.

There's an immeasurable distance between a war of national survival in which most of those casualties were victims of enemy massacres and the reaction to a war of foreign occupation in which your country is the aggressor. Those numbers may not be shit to Putin, but to Russians, I bet they are.

We'll never know. It's illegal to give your opinion on the war if it's a negative one. That's why I'm not buying any polls and am side-eying any stories about internal Russian feelings.

There are a ton of Russians who headed to Turkey, both oligarchs looking to hole up and young people and intelligentsia who got the hell out while they could. There are no sanctions preventing travel to Turkey and they don't have to have a passport to enter the country. 90 day limit, no telling where it goes from there. In any case, Turkey is much involved. Looks like they're hedging their bets.

Close to 11,000,000 Ukrainian refugees would probably disagree. As would some untold number of Ukrainian dead.

As a military operation, yes, a great failure.

As a sustained terrorist attack on the largest country in Europe?

    You decide.
