An excellent game, that was - best I've seen in the two days

Baez' fly ball bounced off the yellow railing on top of the outfield fence, down into Pollock's glove, where he double clutched it.
Hitting the wall meant the ball was live and in play so even though Pollock grabbed the ball before it hit the ground, it wasn't an out. Meadows, on third, was off with the pitch so the game was over when he stepped on the plate.

Opening Day a non-sellout at Yankee Stadium.

    Manfred has destroyed MLB baseball.

What were tickets going for? $500?

That might have something to do with it too.

Eric Nadel is free to all Texas Rangers fans. All 12 of them left after the last half-decade of suck.

I know. I saw it. Pollock misjudged the ball. He could have just reached up and grabbed it, but he hit his back on the wall as he moved to reach up for it.

Judge in his last year in the Bronx? He just turned down nearly a quarter billion dollars through his age 38 season. If he doesn’t have an MVP season, I don’t see the Yankees offering him more next year. And they obviously aren’t going to give him 10 years at this age.
