    Sure. Michael brought up Tesla.

Again, the average transaction price for a new car purchase in this country is $45000.

Lots of folks paying way more than 26K for their cars.

There are plenty of nice plug-in electrics for much less than a Tesla.

Nissan Leaf is $27, 400. Chevy Bolt, $32K. Mini Cooper SE $31K. Mazda MX 30, $35000.

Tesla is a premium purchase at $58000.

But so is a Ford F-15o King Ranch at the same $58000.

That's what a Tesla looks like, plain to the naked eye.
Reminds me of the original Volvo, which we called a pregnant roller skate.

With respect to EVs, my kid reminded me when I was thinking of a Tesla a few years ago "Dad 95% of the carbon footprint on any car is before it leaves the dealership, Tesla or not, so you can feel good about yourself (with an EV) but don't fool yourself into thinking you're saving the planet" plus there is a carbon costs to generating electricity and transmitting it.

Stupid fucking knee-slapping yuk-yuk funny coincidence over the last 18 hours capped by hearing this on the radio minutes ago.

Derp. Tried to edit on the phone but this site doesn't like Galaxy's or something.

Shorter and sweeter. Went for a drive last night after a power outage and landed at a burger shack at Pico and Sawtelle.

We were somewhere around Beverly Hills, on the edge of desserts, when the police lights began to take hold.

On a related note, life is teasing me with that woman in the background.

I mean, you're having the time of your life in that sexy toy only to be brought back down to earth for what was probably a stupid violation.

At least it didn't end up in Lake Michigan.

I would love to drive a Porsche once before I die.

Walked out of the gym and this rolling avatar of our national freaks and geeks road show greeted me.

Walked up to her and asked if I could take a few more from this angle.

She sat in the seat like she was doing it a favor and kept making up her neck.

She answered like her shit don't stink.

"I guess so ... everybody does."

Her attitude reminded me of In-SAUNCE.

Saw myself on Pico during the walk just now.

This was after a happenstance encounter with my dad driving on Wilshire.

Good chance we never speak or see each other again.

Getting ever-emotionally ready for the tent, or back of a Greyhound.

    Helluva walk though.
