    Not saying that Mnuchin isn't shady as fuck, but there is a huge difference between him and Jared Kushner.

    Mnuchin has a track record as a private equity investor and has had no problem raising money, aside from what he got from the Saudi investment fund. There is a plausible case to be made for him putting together a fund and soliciting money from people.

    Kushner is a complete fuck-up. His only "deal" of note was overleveraging a stake that his dad gave him to way overpay for 666 Fifth Ave. right before the housing bubble popped. Nobody in their right mind would trust him with $2, let alone $2 billion, unless the potential return on investment is being measured in other ways.

    Whenever I see one of those GQP laws outlawing discussions about “divisive” topics in schools, I like to imagine there’s a parent out there who would sue their district to have “under God” removed from the Pledge of Allegiance as the entire concept of a deity can be seen as divisive and then imagine the GQP’s reaction.

    That’s a guy who already knows he won’t be Speaker if his klan wins the majority. In that event, Trump will be elected Speaker, a role in which he will serve until Biden and Harris are murdered a week later. He’ll be POTUS again. And with that as a backdrop, nobody who has ever served in leadership will be the new Speaker. Qbert or MTG.
