Great story by Angels beat writer Sam Blum in The Athletic, revealing the team hurriedly sent Patrick O'Neal and Mark Gubicza to Houston for in-stadium TV broadcasting of a series that starts tonight. Awesome story. The Angels did not have their broadcasters on the road.
Blum outlined all the embarrassing problems that occurred over the weekend in the games from Arlington that were covered off TV. Says that neither the Angels nor Bally's would comment to him.
    Sound wasn't synched with picture.
Once, the pitcher stayed set so long Vasgersian was shouting for the batter to ask for time and step out of the box. Actually, Vasgersian's picture froze. When it came back, the Rangers were all ready in the dugout.
He had another time when he called a double and the ball was foul.
Another, he started shouting about a home run that was hit, like, 17 seconds earlier.

    Truly embarrassing for the Angels.
My opinion: if you make an important decision and have to change it a week later, you should not be in a decision-making position.

The angels are such a poorly run franchise.

Take it easy, they're a struggling mid-market team.

They don't have a beat writer from the LA Times, at least not on this road trip. It's been AP.

Long knives out for Boone as NYY leaks that players are taking their complaints about the lineup outside the org.

He never should have been given the extension in the first place. Just a terrible decision and the way things are trending, I don't know how much longer before Cashman is out

    Doc Rivers voice:

    "It's not Boonie's fault."

    Because it's not.

Sam Blum started near the end of last season and has been excellent. I think he checks SJ occasionally.

Well, everybody has a character flaw.
