    While they're in the air.

I'll assume most of the nine hours is spent in the air.

It was supposed to be eight, but a dang headwind slowed us way the hell down. Circus' point on masking when the plane is actually on the ground is well taken. There's a lot of time sitting around waiting to onboard/deplane.

I'd really like to wait until that one is approved before I get the second booster. Also, still not eligible for it anyway, but it seems like it's worth waiting for.

That's me as well. Throw in that most vaccines give peak protection for a limited length of time. Unless a new wave spikes I'll be waiting till around mid-October to go in for mine, both to get the latest formulation of the vaccine and for it to be as powerful as possible through the traditional cough and cold season. I do the same with flu shots. They start giving them in Aug.-Sept., possibly earlier, but I always got mine in mid to late October and it worked well for me. Considering that I was doing nasal swabs for Flu A and B, I got plenty of exposure and have not caught the flu in years.

    Sadly, airports do not.

I'm as likely to be concerned about the time I spend waiting to clear security as I am the time spent in flight.

Agree about the colds and flu prevention, too.

I'll be masked for a while yet.

I suspect that we'll wear masks in crowded public spaces through cough and cold season from now on. We're not going to get any younger, and all the Covid prevention stuff has meant that we didn't catch colds and flu the last couple of years. I gotta respect the streak.

Yup, same. I'm vaxxed and boosted with Pfizer and I got omnicrom, but I'm going to hold off on the second booster as well.
