I took the fam for a weekend trip to Washington DC we spent a total of 24 hours on a round trip via Amtrak.
Couple of times I walked up to the cafe car with a mask on my chin. I run a county-wide public transit agency and was admonished more than a few times during the weekend for letting my mask slip to my chin on Amtrak, DC buses and the Metro. Felt like a real idiot for not wearing it properly because 95 percent of those riding alongside me were and I should know better.
That said, our riders and drivers in Ohio today couldn't unmask fast enough. Probably only about a quarter of the people masked up today when we made it optional.

Can't like that, but I agree. The gift that keeps on giving. Like herpes.

I just came back from Florida and it was like Where's Waldo, except you're looking for the other person wearing a mask. I got some serious side-eye in Publix.

Can't imagine having the mask mandate lifted mid-flight.

Been seeing this sentiment a lot.

If there WERE immunocompromised people or small children (much more likely) on that flight, then Alaska Air and the pilot would sure seem in jeopardy as to civil liability.

I feel so sorry for you, that you're so immature and obviously have such a pathetic existence, that you choose spend a large amount of your free time trolling a message board.

I can understand the reaction of flight attendants and others who have dealt with everything from awful attitudes to threats and even physical attacks over the past two years.

But I agree that mid-flight is not the right time to celebrate. Save it for the hotel bar with coworkers in Seattle or Spokane.

It is truly one of the dumbest things I have ever seen from a smart person. And Silver is smart. Unfortunately, he's so afraid of being perceived as a libruhl that he feels compelled to both-sides everything.
