Because of course Freddie'd hit a homer in his first AB against the Braves.

Dodgers with their 5th 5-run inning this season, 4 of them without a home run.

17,503 announced for Oakland's home opener vs. Orioles. Less than what the Warriors will draw for Game 2 vs. Denver.

There's a spay/neuter clinic a mile from our house. If you have a feral cat problem, they will lend you box traps to catch them and then spay/neuter for free.

    Bless 'em.

Top of the third in frigid and wind-blown Detroit, where the Tigers have used three pitchers (Alexander needed 42 pitches to get out of the first, then Garcia cracked a nail on his pitching hand after one batter) and the Yankees two (zillionaire Gerrit Cole walked four batters in a 45-pitch second inning).

It's 3-2 Yankees in a game with just three hits, that's already taken more than 90 minutes to play to this point. Don't expect the box to make the early edition, or perhaps even the final. Nor will anyone actually care.

Cole is a mess so far this season. Maybe he really was just a product of the sticky stuff?
