Ukraine Always Get What You Want

Netflix has spent way too much money on original content of dubious value, while increasing subscription prices on loyal customers. There are far more choices offering similar value now, and it takes like two mouse clicks to dump it. No hardware to remove, no effect on other channels as there was in dropping cable. Netflix has grown tremendously since it moved from renting DVD's to streaming, and eventually it gets very difficult to maintain percentage increase on top of percentage increase.

Netflix also lost several hundred thousand Russian viewers on top of that.

As to CNN+, news junkie that I am, I have never seriously thought about adding it because I don't see anything of particular value in it.

Given how easy it is to add or remove such services, I can't help but think that people will watch until it gets stale, then step out. Give it a few months to gain fresh content or something you really want to see, add it back on and take HBO+, Amazon, Disney+, or whoever out of rotation, whoever you are not watching much because content has gone stale. Rinse, repeat.

 

The Pentagon has announced (WaPo) that "allied countries" are providing aircraft and aircraft-parts to Ukraine. They're not releasing any details, but it probably includes MIG-29's; the Pentagon spokesman did say that Ukraine now has more "operable fighter aircraft than they had two weeks ago".

That's extremely bad news for the Russians; the Ukrainian air force has given a very good account of itself, and has more pilots than aircraft.

When you get to the paragraph about Putin and the ditty about rape, you'll be floored at how much you'll think you're reading something Trump would have believed/said. And you'll see how the latter could've so easily and sympathetically related to the Russian president.
