It has been not quite a year and five months since the events of 1/6. In terms of a massive investigation and building a Federal case that involves a couple of thousand people as either perpetrators or witnesses and more as subjects of interest, the case is moving pretty quick.

I would add that the R's and particularly Trump's inner circle have dragged their feet and delayed in any way that they or their lawyers could think of.

 

I don't care if these are real or fakes; they are out there now.

This is one of those cases where the news value — key pieces of a plot to end the republic — should trump book sales. These are their beats. I get that these guys have to make a buck, but imagine if Woodward/Bernstein held their reporting for a book instead of putting it in the Post?
