Honestly surprised it's taking so long.

Presumably we've been fighting back and forth with Putin's army of hackers since before the invasion. There's a great unwritten / untold story here.

In the meantime, fill your pantry and your go bag and your gas tank and take out however much cash you might need for a month or more.

Part of our vulnerability is based in the reluctance of corporations to spend the money to build quality cyber defenses around their corporate computing. They look at the cost of building it versus the perceived risk, and if they think it costs too much, they just don't bother. Shortsighted, as they really have no way to know what might be at risk, but corporate bean counters rule.

Capitalism at its finest. Bean counters are only working for shareholders. If they decide it’s not worth protecting their security systems, that’s their decision.

Again we see the curious (considering everything else Russia has done in this war) reluctance by Putin to directly engage the US.

A pull from Facebook and a response:

"The Times reports that Britain will be sending tanks (Challenger 2's) to Poland so the Poles can hand on their T-72's (a MBT the Ukrainians already use in some numbers) to Ukraine."

"Ukrinian MBT is T-64BM 'Bulat'. Yes, there are not a small number of T-72s, some T-84BMs (an excellent tank but costing 6 modernised T-64BM 'Bulats'), and thanks to the Russian kind assistance, T-80s and T-90s. [IMG] But, yes... Give us more. More. More! [IMG]"

    Also:

"The NYT is reporting a Ukrainian strike on a Russian command post in Kherson which destroyed it while 50 senior officers were inside.

No independent confirmation yet, but Ukrainian claims of this sort are usually confirmed, eventually."
