Walked down Fairfax and heard an electric violin and was excited till I saw who mamacita was fiddlin' for.

The song was sad so I got up and kept walking to find a spot.

Stopped to watch a man in sweaty drawers paint.

Walked again and remembered the ghoulish wall mural.

Tried getting artsy fartsy with the photos on Fairfax at Lindenhurst, minding my p's and q's in the tall grass and weeds.

When a dude on a bike stopped to ask what I'm taking photos of.

Tony's from Hattiesburg Mississippi. Homeless junkie. Came to L.A. to get famous.

We talked Hattiesburg and Southern Miss and Favre and cocaine -- "I don't think I'll do coke again because of fentanyl," I said -- and fentanyl -- "my friend died from fentanyl 7 days ago," Tony said -- and is this a good area to sleep on the street? He offered a few tips.

Wanted to take photos of Tony's head tats so I swung the bat and he said yes.

The funniest thing about meeting Tony from Hattiesburg today, April 26, 2022, was telling him how I stopped in Iuka Mississippi last year on the cross country drive.

I needed a few things for the road and stopped at Walmart.

It's funny because that was on April 26, 2021.

The fiddler and her kids are all the Facebook group outrage in my neck of the woods.

Homelessness is big in L.A. Tony's homeless and we were talking about where it's safe to sleep outside and what precautions one might take.

This is what the sidewalk artist looked like in real time.

LAPD officer did a nice job keeping the situation light after the wreck on La Cienega.

Block or two later saw a shiny new '64 GTO ...

It’s a recorded song. They don’t actually play.

    At least in Scoutville…

Not to be ungenerous, but every post on these threads is a cry for help.

    What are we doing here?

It is a recorded song and the fiddler plays along.

At least it looks like she's playing along.

3-hour walk started slow but picked up.

Walked into Tammy Ann where Venice and La Cienega meet. She was sitting on the sidewalk.

She was hungry and I had a few bucks to buy her something at the liquor store right there.

Bought her something savory, something sweet, something healthy, and a tall water.

We chatted for about 20 minutes. She's as cogent as one can expect. Personality that 's at peace with her circumstance.

Tammy Ann is a Buckeye from Ohio whose been on the streets of L.A. for who knows how long. Forgot how old she is.

Tammy Ann asked if I was from MGM. I chuckled. She said she's related to John Stamos (brother) and Ralph Macchio.

The sounds of rush hour traffic passing in all directions at that strange confluence of streets filled the space.

Tammy Ann the Buckeye from Ohio said I could take a few more photos and she was an awesome muse.
