2022 NFL Draft

Today's the day. As an appetizer, here's a video from the Chargers with GM Tom Telesco analyzing the scenes from the movie "Draft Day." Spoiler: He's not impressed with the draft boards in the film's NFL war rooms.

 

As entertaining as the Rams video was, this one was better, more informative and Telesco's facial reactions were great. "Does every NFL Security guy have an office with cinder block walls in the basement?" and "Not unless I knew the guy really well," is a great end quote. I did not realize Jonah and Kevin Dunn from Veep and Chadwick Boseman were in the movie.

So funny that the Browns drafted Manziel shortly after the movie premiered.

Here’s a look at some past Lions No.1 picks

 

You misspelled Jaguars.
They couldn't fuck up last year's No. 1 because there was nothing to fuck up. Lawrence HAD to be taken.
But given choices, the Jags will almost certainly make the wrong one.

Jaguars signed Cam Robinson to a contract extension yesterday, so that means they won't go for a LT. I imagine they will choose Trevon Walker.

 

It’s not quite like when the Raiders took Jamarcus Russell, leaving Calvin Johnson for the Lions, but if the Jaguars take Walker I would be happy with either Hutchinson or Thibodeaux

 

I think there's a better chance Walker will end up as another Taven Bryan. Hutchinson or Thibodeaux are the safe picks.

It would be a fascinating thought experiment if a draft expert were able to take an entire year where they could see all of the games, combine times, pro days, reports of team interviews but were completely shut out from reviewing any mock drafts or from comparing notes with any other experts, team officials, agents etc. I wonder how their rankings would differ from the group consensus
