I am trying to figure out what the damages to Steele were. IF ESPN has continued to pay her contract and met the other contractual obligations what money did she lose.? If ESPN put her "on the bench" for a couple weeks but continued to pay her that is called extra paid vacation. And if she still appears on on-air on a show then she is still professionally visible. So where are the damages?

Or she just found out Disney has a shell government in F-L-A and decided to take a shot from 3/4 court.

She could argue that future earning potential is based on the prestige of the events which she is assigned to cover, including any offers from ESPN in comparison to her peers. If she went from being a lead NBA host to college lacrosse, her next job is probably worth less. I’m not saying I buy her underlying claim, but you could potentially prove damages.

My alma mater’s highest profile alums were Roger Ailes and Matt Lauer. I finally got someone from my wife’s beloved IU to needle her about during football games.

“Hey, they haven’t run that Sage Steele IU commercial lately, have they?”

    (Murder eyes in my direction)

I acknowledge the point but I think she has been off the NBA for while. Have Steele's assignments changed.

You need something to needle her about with a team that has a handful of winning seasons over the last three or four decades?

Absolutely. If they let her go to the mothership of misinformation and malice, she drops the suit and the relationship ends without further issue.

Saw her co-anchoring a mid-day Sportscenter today. Hadn't seen her in quite a while, but don't watch as much anymore. That's all I've got.

She's typically on the noon-2 show. (ESPN is on in the background during the day.) I'm surprised she wasn't put on paid leave after she announced the lawsuit. Take the oxygen away from her. Without ESPN she'd be forgotten in 30 seconds.

Are there any people on ESPN air who would not be missed if not forgotten if they stopped being on ESPN?

I would miss Wilbon/Kornheiser if they were no longer on ESPN.

I would miss "Greeny" not because he is great but because he is so much better than the alternative on TV in the early morning and then again on the radio at noon (ET).

And I still miss Dan Patrick and Keith Olberman on SportsCenter.
