Local guy on sports radio here yesterday: "Look, I hate the Philadelphia Eagles. Straight up despise them forever. They're the worst franchise in the league... but that said, they've drafted fabulously well this year."

The Giants and the Jets have as well, mind boggling as that is. I expect Baltimore to draft well, but the Giants and Jets in the same year, that's a unicorn.

My brother is an Eagles fan. He is absolutely thrilled with what they have done and he should be. If Dean is healthy enough to play, he is the steal of the draft. He is a little undersized, but that is where having a monster like Davis up front helps.

The Ravens drive me nuts. They just draft so well every year and they are doing it again this season.

Edit: They just added to this with Faalele in the fourth round. Seriously, every single pick so far for Baltimore has been a great value.

So all 32 teams with representatives on site pack up and fly to, say, Cincinnati? Not a great idea.
How about reducing the thing to two days?

Nobody knows how well a team drafted today.

That's always true, that we won't know the true value until three or four years down the line. At the time he was taken second overall, no one knew that Ryan Leaf was going to be a huge bust.

That said, we can still look at the ratings, the needs of the various teams compared to what they drafted, the picks that seemed to be a reach and the guys who fell far below where they were expected.

If nothing else, Philly started the draft by making a major roster upgrade with the A.J. Brown trade. I think virtually all of us would agree on that. He might get hurt or not do as well with Jalen Hurts at QB, but to all appearances it was a very good deal indeed for them. As to the Giants and Jets, at least there was no overt bed shitting in the early rounds. Guys might not turn out as well as projected, but no one started to point and laugh immediately, and that too is an upgrade.

Let’s see Kiper’s Big Board from 4-6 years ago and see how he did.

I think this is right — UTSA has had two players taken before the first Texas player

I'm still surprised ABC thought Day 2 was prime time worthy.

Steelers take Michigan State FB/TE Connor Heyward, Cameron’s little brother, in the sixth round
Both are the sons of the late Ironhead Heyward
