What Republicans also are forgetting is that it’s 2022, not 1952. There’s the abortion pill(s) now, which are more than half of abortions, and computer access to ordering them online from Europe.

I know the red states are passing laws to ban that sort of thing, but are they really going to be able to enforce it? Are they going to be monitoring every pregnant woman’s FedEx packages?

It’s still going to suck for poor women in those states who may not have computer access, but if the GOP really thinks overturning Roe is ending the debate, they’re going to be in for a huge surprise.

Texas is allowing anybody to get paid for ratting out women who have abortions. You somehow get to sue a stranger if necessary. Somehow, you have standing to sue and claim you were wronged if somebody down the street has an abortion.
So they've created incentives for rats and disincentives for women.

Yeah, rape and incest exceptions have been off the board in right-wing circles for 10 years now. The on-the-record reason is this belief that "every baby is sacred" and that the fetus doesn't get to determine whether or not it is the outcome of rape, but the off-the-record reason is they believe women will lie about it to get an abortion. So much of right-wing orthodoxy right now is based on this paranoid belief that everyone is lying to you about everything. The gays are recruiting. That transgender kid is trying to get into the girls' restroom. It's really disgusting.

You know what would have cured the abortion debate 50 years ago? Stocks. Not the kind they sell on Wall Street, the kind they used to have in the town square. Because birth control and abortion removed the last means a community had to shame women who exercised their sexuality in ways they found morally, or perhaps more accurately, pruriently objectionable.

Going before the 1/6 and actually saying anything that is of any use are as well.

But what about the libruhls who picket and claim that 9/11 was an inside job?

This really makes me think Alito or the other four leaked it to pressure Roberts to quit lobbying.

Maybe not, but Democrats should absolutely be hanging it around their necks in the mid-terms and beyond.

The Republicans are about to be in the position of the dog who finally caught the car. Any notion of Dems staying away from the polls because they don't think Biden did enough to fix X, any notion of an apathetic group of Dems, that's all out the window. This is going to light people up in a very big way.

If this shit does not get the voters out to cockblock the R's, well, we're all screwed to the wall.

It’s almost like everyone who said this would happen if Trump got in was right. It’s almost like those of us who said vote Hillary for the court were right.

That ended up being weirdly ironic, all things considered.
