So are Mitch McConnell and his crew pissed about the leak because they had a party set up for next week with cake, jello pudding pops, and rape wagons and now it has ruined the surprise?

Yep, they wanted their Mission Accomplished moment and as it turns out, the plane had to do an emergency crash landing.

I think it was leaked in order to give the outrage from the Dems an extra six weeks to cool off before midterms. If they waited until June, they're that much closer to the election.

For an apolitical body, this leak was as political a move as you can get.

I dunno, is there? If it's a d_b I didn't spot it in the thread.

Six weeks is enough time to organize and not long enough to forget. Especially not for the 50%+ percent of voters that are women.

You just know that at some point, a prominent Republican is going to get caught paying for his mistress’ abortion and the GQP will just shrug it off as the woman’s fault for getting pregnant and blame the media.

The leak was just the outcome and part of the reasoning. An NPR article stated that the announcement of the decision was delayed and the Time piece came out a few hours before the decision.
