His recent cameo on Derry Girls bodes well for the deadpan comedy thing:

Glad to see there’s another season of Derry Girls (eventually) coming to Netflix. Great show.

Jason Bateman would have been a better choice, IMO. Or Colin Jost. Or better yet, Kate McKinnon.

"All the Old Knives", with Thandie Newton and Chris Pine, on Amazon. It's an espionage procedural, focusing on a particular incident that is being re-investigated several years later. It's a dialogue driven character study that takes an extremely unexpected and jarring turn. Well written, solid cast, excellent performances from all involved. It's not a blow 'em up, shoot 'em up sort of spy movie.

I thought that it was extremely well done.

"Once Were Brothers," a history of The Band, told primarily through the recollections of Robbie Robertson. The movie includes excerpts of interviews with Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Bruce Springsteen and others. Well worth the time.

Haven't seen it, because I don't have the Roku Channel, but there is a Weird Al biopic starring...Harry Potter and written by Weird Al himself. Rainn Wilson plays Dr. Demento.

Top Gun is on Netflix. One of my favorite starts to any movie. (I went to a flat top because I saw Iceman). That is all.

Nothing but the first 15 seconds seamlessly looped.
